| John A. Sargent, Jr., 73, died on August 5, 2011 in Boca Grande, FL.
At Trinity, Sargent played football and squash, and was a member of St. Anthony Hall. He attended Officer’s Candidate School and served in the Navy as a diver and an officer in the EOD from 1960 to 1964.
His post-military career included 22 years at Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company where he worked as an ore sales representative. He retired as senior vice president, and went on to pursue venture capital and real estate interests. He was a member of the Kirtland Country Club and served as president of the Tavern Club. He was also a member of the Gasparilla Inn and Club in Boca Grande, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine.
